Support the Sales Manager in new and existing account development and ongoing maintenance of accounts to promote sales and provide sales support of IC assembly and test. Coordinate with customers and company’s factories in Taiwan and China to collect information from factories or customer regarding assembly or test instructions, and to develop a thorough understanding of customer’s technical and business requirements, assembly or test instructions, as well as their roadmaps for future products and technical needs to plan new product pilot run and materials planning, and to help ASE’s US customers in better understanding ASE’s production flow and in utilizing ASE’s latest logistics management tools to reduce costs and reduce time-to-market, with the ultimate goal to sell company’s services. Manage customer relations and provide sales support, such as following up on day to day issues such as customer requests for WIP status, drawing requests, tracking die releases vs. forecast, monitoring cycle times or fast tracks and basic engineering information, coordinating the integration of technical activities and products and providing accurate and timely logistics support.
Require: Master’s degree in Management, 2 years of experience in job offered with IC assembly and test process, including customer relationships management, technical and logistic support, and business negotiation.

This position is Technical Program Manager (TPM) and/or Sr. Application Engineer for semiconductor and electronic industry packaging, assembly and field engineering support. The person needs sound knowledge semiconductor IC packaging technology, design, process, test and failure analysis. Good foundation in IC, component, module and PCB development and product engineering knowledge. Will need to work directly with semiconductor and OEM customer, align with internal team on new product introduction, new technology promotion, NPI project management and MP ramp support.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following, other duties may be assigned:
- Front line interface with customer on engineering inquiry, provide timely response and viable solution as local technical support.
- Work with customer on internal team on the new product introduction from design, simulation, assembly process, tooling/equipment, manufacturability, qualification and test.
- Be problem solver and perform crisis management. Identify scale of issues, drive root cause analysis, implement corrective action, and monitor performance.
- Collaborate with all supply chain partner on technical issues from component, IC, packaging, module and PCB interface.
- Technical Program management of new product introduction, schedule, business alignment with sales, HVM ramp ensure time to market.
- Support MP field engineering issues, including major yield and quality crisis and customer RMA.
- Participate in new business promotion, engagement, capital expenditure, product launch risk assessment.
SUPERVISORY ROLE: No
COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Fluent in English and good communication skills are required, fluency in Mandarin is a plus.
COMPUTER/SOFTWARE SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE: Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD viewer, Cadence package design, layout tool experience are a plus.
