(NASDAQ: VTSS). ASE was selected for demonstrating exceptional quality, service, and delivery in its contribution to Vitesse’s packaging and test solutions.

Each year Vitesse presents performance awards to outstanding vendors. Recipients of the 2004 Supplier Excellence Awards were chosen using a Supplier and Subcontractor Rating Procedure that ranked Quality, Flexibility, Cost of Doing Business, Customer Service and Strategic Advantage. ASE was the sole semiconductor assembly and test company rated Above Average or Outstanding in each catego ry.

ASE has offered Vitesse cost competitive packaging technology and assembly services to help grow their Ethernet and Storage business, and has been instrumental in providing Vitesse dedicated service in key areas such as technology and factory support, particularly in relation to their thermally enhanced BGA, Flip Chip, Lead Free, and Wafer Level CSP program developments.
