SUMMARY: As an Account Manager or Sr. Account Manager, you will support the Sales Manager or Sr. Sales manager in account development. Other roles include preparing quarterly reviews, sales forecasting, market analysis and business opportunity/risk analysis, capacity and capital expansion plan by statistical and demand modeling. You will be responsible for coordinating and managing product development and production throughout the product life cycle from POC to EOL, with coordination between customers and cross-functional supporting teams, and also in charge of sales operations and supply chain management. This responsibility will include continual assessments of the services we offer our customers and our customers’ needs with ASE.

SUMMARY: The primary goal of this position is to develop and promote specific ASE strategic technologies to global customers through engagement with customers across their global organizations from IC design, component applications and manufacturing, as well as through conference and public industry forums. Work in close and deep partnership with Sales team to identify customer requirements and support customer engagement for revenue growth. Interface with factory engineering and R&D teams for technology development, and specific technology roadmaps in alignment with customer needs and customer product roadmap. Advise ASE factory engineering teams and R&D teams on technology innovations and technology qualifications. Identify strategic technology innovations and business opportunities towards further broadening industry customer base. The final goal is to develop and solidify business opportunities through building network and technical engagement with customer engineering infrastructures.

As a Sr. Engineering Program Manager (EPM), you will also support the Director of Engineering and Sales teams in engineering projects management. The Sr. EPM must have a good understanding of the semiconductor supply chain, and hands-on experience on semiconductor packaging and its’ applications. Must be well versed in technical skills in all phases of IC packaging process and equipment. The Sr. EPM will help regional sales and TPM to coordinate with customers’ engineering groups to select &/or develop packaging technology to support their device/product requirements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, other duties may be assigned: The Sr. EPM will be responsible for the development and promotion for the specific strategic technology areas that he has been assigned to across global customer base. He/She assumes the role of technology leadership advisory role in interacting with customer’s technical teams – design, technology and product development, working closely with the ASE factory engineering teams, R& D teams and the regional sales teams.   • Proven ability to interpret and analyze technology and market trend to define and execute strategies to enable long and short-term business objectives.
  • A solid understanding of semiconductor device physics, packaging processes (Bumping, Flip Chip, WB Package), materials, technology and trends such as: Substrate, Electrical and Thermo-Mechanical and manufacturing, Bumping, molding, wire-bonding, die attach, etc. are required.
  • Well versed in Semiconductor package technology and market trend, reliability, defects and reliability/qualification.
  • Direct experience with package development – Package design, Performance analysis in package and PCB level, developing BOM to support application specific needs. Experience on advanced packaging technology such as 2.5D/3D, Fanout and Silicon Photonics is a definite great plus.

SUMMARY: As a Sr. Engineer, you will support the business unit (sales and engineering) promoting ASE high performance computing packaging technology, working with ASE customer to support new flip chip product introduction and working with ASE factory engineering teams to maintain production yield, solving field related application issues.   • Working with customers & factory teams on FCBGA-MCM, FCCSP and WLCSP NPI (New product introduction), support different phases of qualification and production ramp up. This includes review customers’ device and feedback to engineering team on IC packaging technical assessment, feasibility study, risks based on ASE’s design rules, manufacturing capability and propose resolutions to meet the specific application needs.
  • Develop new package and process qualification programs together with customer & factory engineering team. Define DOEs for new material selection (such as underfill, thermal interface materials, mold compound, etc), risk assessment, process optimization to meet thermal, mechanical and electrical technical requirements.
  • Work with factory & customers in troubleshooting field related issues, maintain quality of existing packages for all product groups utilizing various destructive and nondestructive failure analysis tools such as x-ray, SAT, x-section, SEM, FTIR, etc.
  • Collect customer’s product and technical roadmaps for process engineering & R&D groups to develop advanced packages.
  • Promote ASE’s advanced packaging solutions to customers such as high-performance computing technology for heterogeneous integration using various fan out solutions, flip chip MCM, advanced fan out/ bumping technology, etc.
  • Ability to work with cross function teams inside and outside of ASE, to help customer developing product to gain market share with ASE.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: ASE requires a BS degree in engineering or related fields experience with 8+ years of experience in semiconductor. A strong understanding of 5+ years of experience in IC Packaging design rules and assembly process. Require experience in flip chip process and manufacturing. Knowledge in semiconductor product development from design, characterization, qualification, test and failure analysis. Familiar with reliability testing and methodology, failure analysis principles and techniques. Familiar with System Level & ATE testing methodology and bench testing equipment. SUMMARY: As a Technical Program Manager, you will support the business unit (engineering and sales) in account development. The Technical Program Manager must have an understanding of our customer’s business and their future plans. The Technical Program Manager will coordinate technical support to enable specific account strategies with engineering, sales and factory as well as providing package design support to the customer.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, other duties may be assigned: The Technical Program Manager will be responsible for coordinating and managing all technical and business-related activities to help create optimal revenue with current and new customers.

Must have a strong understanding of Semiconductor IC assembly and test manufacturing process, as well as a thorough technical knowledge of packaging and process requirements for offshore assembly facilities. Must be able to manage key technical and technology programs as well as provide technical package design support to the customer. Responsibilities include working work with cross functional teams to establish plan and key milestone for the technical program and deliver the program objective. Strong verbal and written skills are essential along with interpersonal communications skills. Must be a team player with good organizational, computer and project management skills.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: ASE requires a BS in engineering and minimum of 10+ years of semiconductor technical manufacturing experience in assembly, test and wafer fab, with in depth understanding of the IC assembly and test process. Experience in working with customer and stake holders of the program to resolve technical issues and able make sound business decisions to support the success of the program.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: No supervisor responsibilities, but must be able to organize and work with cross functional team inside ASE, and with customer to accomplish the program objective.
