Fremont, California, October 18th, 2002 – ISE Labs, Inc. a subsidiary of ASE Test Limited (NASDAQ: ASTSF), the world’s largest independent provider of semiconductor test services, and MuAnalysis, Inc., a provider of semiconductor microanalysis and process analysis, announced today that they signed an agreement to combine MuAnalysis’ advanced analytical expertise with ISE’s advanced testing capabilities, and provide comprehensive analytical IC testing services to the Canadian semiconductor industry.

The agreement enables both ISE and MuAnalysis’ customers to access directly the test platforms at ISE Technology Centers in Fremont, California and Austin, Texas using MuAnalysis’ streamlined analytical process and procedures. ISE Technology Center offer a diverse selection of major test platforms with pin counts up to 1024 and speeds up to 3.2Gbps.

“With the ease of access to ISE’s test platforms, our customers can utilize their existing test programs. From the customers’ perspective, they benefit through a shortened ser-up time for performing analysis, ” said Dr. Martine Simard-Normadin, President of MuAnalysis.

In support of the agreement, an EXA3000 SOC Test System from NPTest (previously Schlumberger Semiconductor Solutions) has been added to ISE Technology Center in Fremont, California. The EXA 3000 and other platforms are part of ISE’s RAC (Remote Access) services, offering the widest choice of test platforms to semiconductor companies in North America.
