ASE Singapore Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of the ASE Group (Advanced Semiconductor Engineering, Inc) announced today that it has been selected amongst the top 200 on the list of ‘Singapore’s Best Employers 2021’ for the second year in a row. The list, compiled by The Straits Times, the most-read English newspaper in Singapore and Statista, a global market research firm, is based on an island-wide survey of more than 9,000 employees across 26 industries.

ASE Singapore (ASESG), established since 1998, is a leading provider of advanced technologies for semiconductor testing and wafer level backend services. According to The Straits Times, more than 9,000 people responded to the online survey conducted in August and September of 2020, whittling down a long list of more than 1,700 eligible companies and institutions with at least 200 employees across 26 industries. These companies were given a score based primarily on whether the staff would recommend the company to a friend or family member. The second edition of the survey included additional Covid-19-specific questions.

ASESG is part of 70 percent of the employers on last year’s inaugural list of 150 best employers that are also on this year’s list, which suggests that these companies are managing the crisis well, despite the challenges. The survey also observed that industries with greater resilience during the pandemic, such as semiconductors and electronics, showed higher levels of employee satisfaction.
